I'm blue da boo dee daboo di
You wet your plants 😂
😂 everybody is doing it!
You know where i can fet one for 50 bucks
They are relatively expensive and they have ultra low resolution versions for pretty cheap but depending on what you are using it for, it might limit the usefulness with lower resolution
Nice!
Yeah this thing is pretty amazing!
Love the butt chuck
Genius 😂😊
Thank you
do u have any problem with rain getting in or no
I don't have the jeep anymore but I never did nor does the new owner. Engines can get wet
Nice presentation, I have three supplementing my house 24k, 18k,18k, they really enjoy a level and plumb install.
That is awesome! Did you do them all DIY? The outdoor unit I need to level just a hair more it's about 2 degrees leaning outwards but still working incredibly well
@@ianmburke Yes did them myself, I found some literature that the bearings could wear prematurely if the unit is not both plum and level, it was fiddley as the wall mounts are less than precise, wife not happy about the looks of the inside unit but it works great. The ceiling units were not readily available. Are you going to do dedicated solar to each unit or run a inverter from solar and power the systems.
Looking good, sir!
I appreciate it man!
Nice job. Love's good 👍
Thank you! Your content made me want to use the fused disconnect.
@@ianmburke Awesome! 👍
Those whips on the disconnect are disguising
How so? What can I do better?
Did you hook up the cradles? Just going back and forth with Firestone and airlift for my 2020 pw. CJC Off Road also has a nice removable set but are $1600+
I do have the cradles I just haven't installed them yet since I haven't gone heavy offroading since the install and the Airlift are amazing for the price they do exactly what I need and are less than 500$ USD
Appreciate you making and sharing this video. I just picked up a PW and the factory tires are horrendous. Wasn’t sure if 37’s would work on stock suspension and I definitely wanted to stay stock. After watching your video it was clear 37’s would fit and I actually went from looking at BFG KO2 to exactly what you have MT Baja Boss AT. The tires and stance is perfect now. Thanks again for sharing.
Glad it helped!!! I spent a lot of time stalking the obnoxious Facebook groups and online forums until I found someone with the same year who had gone 37 and confirmed so I figured I owed it to the community to show it in a place where most come for answers!
Takes all the fun out of driving a tractor in the dark. Where's the thrill if you can see where you are going?
😂 at least I can still turn them off and just smash my way into the direction I assume I should be traveling
She's the best little Muma ❤
I have a 2 inch spacer from my old lifted 2500, what if I installed the spacers in the front to prevent it rubbing, what you think of that? I have 22 PW
Spacers in just the front might be odd??? Idk I personally stay away from spacers and select for wheels with the offset needed, the rubbing is minimal so for me I'll keep it. But lmk if that works
If you paint it white on the inside first, it’s easier to see what is inside the box.
I'm actually going to line the inside with thin white foam for that reason and the additional feature of rattling noise reduction
@@ianmburke excellent!
This was the most helpful video in all of RUclips history
I appreciate that 🙏
Great video, Ian! We really appreciate the transparency. We've received a lot of requests for EG4 to offer extended or longer line sets. That's not something that's available at the moment, but should be in the pipeline in the future. We're really glad you enjoy the unit, and look forward to the first floor install. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! The length would be super helpful and although the mounting was a little more technical I was most worried about the noise it would reverberate into the wall and that is almost zero!! Several times I have thought the unit was off while I was outside 15 feet from it because it is so quiet. Once I do the first floor install I'll also do some decibel readings near this unit indoor and out because personally I think that is a very under represented benefit of these units, they are nearly silent even when running on full
So, what are you thinking of on your ROI?
Not sure yet I'll have to see once I get the solar putting power to it. But as of right now it is the only air conditioning for the upstairs of my house so for the month of June I'll have a good idea of what it will have cost compared to last year when I get my bill in July and I'll do a comparison to show how it stacks up with just AC power then I'll add solar and see what the real ROI is
@@ianmburke IDK why I even ask, as you're always 3 steps ahead of anything I think of...loving your content none the less
This is what these trucks should look like from the factory.
Agreed!!!
Should you be drilling into the ROPS bar. Surely that will compromise it's strength.
100% I agree it likely compromised it some l but I highly suspect it would not be compromised enough to cause it to not do the job it was engineered to do.
Great video, Ian! Those mini splits are really gaining popularity. I think you did a great job highlighting the great benefits of having one of these units. You're doing an awesome job!!
Thank you Matthew! I'm excited to install it this weekend and subsequently install the solar to see how effective these types of products can be for people trying to reduce grid energy consumption or just avoid having to connect to the grid altogether.
I am interested in seeing how many solar panels it takes to run one 2ton unit. I live in Southside VA with plenty of sun. Would love to power a few units on my 1786 Plantation home and outbuildings. Will be watching your future progress for progress.
I think roughly 1200-2000 watts of solar is all you need and that is about 3 or 4, 400w panels. I'm personally going to see how far I can over panel it so even in low light, morning, or cloud cover still get a high level output. My goal is for the units to almost never be on unless they are solar powered. These units sound like the perfect solution for your type of situation!
6 ton's of cooling capacity for one residential home? ok, over kill.
These units will eventually ONLY be run from solar so most of the hottest times of the day they will make it so that the central air units do not have to run. Then when the sun is down, the original units can kick on and also capitalize on the circulation function of the ducts. Additionally your assumption is not based off of SQFT this is a 4600sqft house which would need about 5-6 tons to cool/heat
Who in the world would plug a solar panel directly into a compressor? Makes no sense to me.
A very very very very very stupid person...
The EG4 is the 'brains' for what happens after it is plugged in. It isn't 'directly into the compressor' that is not an accurate representation of what is happening. This all in one simply makes the plugging in a lot easier.
Similarly charging your DC powered cell phone with an AC outlet doesn't make sense if you do not fundamentally understand what is happening in the electronics in-between
@@ianmburke solar is very unreliable in terms of constant and stable voltage with spikes up and down. Usually a battery is used as a middle man to mitigate this. So directly connecting the panel to a compressor (if that's what was done) is in fact not the best plan
Agreed, but obviously the engineers who designed this considered those things, internally it has its own MPPT and Capacitors to regulate/stabilize the voltage as well as the motor itself is three phase so variable voltage is more manageable. The listed voltage and array size are oversized so that it can normalize the voltage much more easily. But you are 100% without those features it would destroy a compressor.
I have the exact year ,color truck. One thing you have to keep in mind for/Heavy Towing/, is the reduction in gear ratio .Even though it has the much improved ZF 8 speed tranny , the 4.10 stock ratio gearing weakens quickly with bigger tires from stock 33s
I do not tow often enough and I know a LOT of folks in the Jeep world love to regear as well. An often overlooked aspect of power and gear ratio is actually what elevation you use the vehicle at, that increased gear ratio might need to go much higher if you are in the mountains of Colorado vs the beaches of NC
As a general rule, a naturally aspirated combustion engine will lose 3% of its power for every 1,000 ft of elevation gain. If you have 100 horsepower at sea level by the time you get to 5,000 feet of elevation your engine is making 85 horsepower. At 10,000 feet of elevation your engine will make 70
That looks like a 90 degree? It doesn’t look like a y. Is it a 90?
That is a 'sanitary t'. T describing the hole alignment relative to one another and the 'sanitary' part describing the controlled flow direction. There are also sanitary y's as well
My front right wore the same way. And conclusions on why?
No, but I actually think it was caused by the lane detect feature and how I usually ride the right side line in the narrow roads locally because the truck is really wide. But if I find out otherwise I'll let you know.
This was my first thought also, wasn’t sure if anyone else had this issue. Also going 37s this weekend!💪
Good for you!! You won't regret it. The truck looks so much more proper with 37s IMO
Not the Jeep!!!
Still up in the air Robert! But since it is so customized I'll likely never get a buyer to pay what I 'think' it's worth 😂 sooooo it'll likely be around anyway. But I'm still looking to get a 4xe 2door if they ever make one
signaturesolar.com/eg4-hybrid-ac-dc-solar-air-conditioner-2-ton/?ref=txdtmrve
Watched another video, they say science shows they need to be placed 10 ft. In the air to feel safe. Too low is a risk that bears will invade, so they prefer higher position as they seek a new home.
I'm sure there are lots of videos that cite 'science' that might not be exactly accurate, some things to consider either way. 1. Yes bees seem to like higher locations 2. Beehives in apiaries are never at 10 feet off the ground 3. I have caught 2 swarms in buckets at roughly 6 feet off the ground 4. Another swarm on a dead tree about a foot off the ground video here: ruclips.net/video/EVUhp5otgl4/видео.htmlsi=WShw4R_cr9nQr0Xo 5. Most recent swarm I caught was in a hive in my yard next to another hive about a foot off the ground. What I would say is this: IF this assumption is true and you are catching wild bees perhaps they will run away once you catch them since they prefer higher locations? But if you keep your traps at a level that is more similar to their end height in your apiary they might be more inclined to stay?
13/64 drill bit... Sometimes idk know how my brain works 😂
Super exited , dear god
Excitement was short lived once you heard 'little guys' 🤣
I am so sick of hearing " this little guy " STOP !!!!!!!!!
But the tractor is a little guy... And your cute little doggie photo makes me think.... That is a cute little guy too... I suspect you do not like hypocorisms 😂
Hi Ian...its your "Uncle" Tim from Costa Rica. I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy watching your projects especially with all the basenjis running around. Your farm is beautiful!! You certainly inherited a lot of Tower's ability. I am very happy to see you doing so well. Take care Ian....
Tim!!!! So amazing to hear from you! Thank you for the kind words, Towers was in a league of his own! Costa Rica sounds like a great place to be! Hope you are doing well ❤
I'm only here for the jeep :(
Well.... We still have the gladiator, and this the white Jeep will probably stay since resale for modifications/customizations like mine aren't really worth it... Buuuut IF a 2 door 4xe comes out we might get one of those or a 4xe gladiator if no 2 door. So I appreciate you sticking around as long as you have and don't worry there won't be any lack of future Jeep content

24 thousand*** not 24 hundred 🤦
thanks for the great review!
Thank you! I'm liking the product thus far and it seems to hold the phone even on bumpy dirt roads 👍
Great job Ian! 👍
Thank you! This tractor is such an amazing tool
This dimension should come stock on PW.
I couldn't agree more!! I think it is due to the DOT and PSI ratings, and the same reason you cannot reset the inflation warnings to be low enough to make 37s ride comfortable (35psi)
I think my advice to you is get a ryobi pvc than use a ryobi to dewalt adapter
They did send me a replacement and It has worked flawlessly!
Rim lock in your rear tires is the best thing you can for these tractors. Rim lock is beet juice it weighs 11 lbs a gallon as opposed to water at 8 lbs a gallon. It also biodegrable
Great advice! I work on really flat surfaces and rarely get to overloading the bucket end of things so I have not needed the weight offset yet... But I'll keep that in mind as I'm sure I'll get there eventually
@@ianmburke it’s worked great for me in overall stability especially plowing snow
Thanks for making this video. I have the same year truck and am about to hit the same miles. I’ve been trying to figure out if 37s will fit without major modification on stock wheels but can never find a straight answer on the forums. Can I ask what you tow, and if you’ve towed with the 37s how it is?
I don't tow often, only a full 20ft uhaul trailer with the OEM tires. I do HAUL a lot so with the airbags I load the bed with gravel and soil often for the farm 2500-4000lbs and it hauls fine no noticable difference. These 6.4 hemi's have a TON of power and I would bet that the loss from OEM to 37 is almost completely unadjusted for math. I get the exact same gas mileage as I did before. 12% difference in tire size needs to be your multiplier for speedo, distance traveled, gas mileage and frequency of oil change. I'll do a follow up video soon showing all of the mileage pictures before and after and it's down to the 0.2 of an mpg identical. So I would assume most accounts of worse towing mileage are from the same unaccounted for math.

Ahhh, a mosquito breeding pond !! Great, just what's needed in America, more skeeters...
Doesnt everyone make that tool i have the 2 in the gayrogg
Nice video - glad you made use of the deal I posted :) felt like a steal at that price. The 37s fit the truck so much better.
Thank you !! And thank you for sharing the deal on the tires they have been amazing!!! The PW was made for 37s
Is this deal still available? Looking to do that same
Where in JScan did you find the option to change your tire size? We have used JScan for years, and this same excact VGate iCar Pro (in fact own 3 of those, we keep one in each vehicle for diagnostics) and we have been all through the JScan program and never found the place where you can change the tire size. What module or setting is it located under?
On the Main page once you're connected you are by default on the Dashboard tab, if you look to the right of the Dashboard tab you'll see 'Modules' then 'Adaptations'. Select the Adaptations tab then scroll down to 'tire & axle settings' it's in there
Wow. I have impact connect everything and I’m a construction plumber. Never had a problem in the year they have been out. Maybe your blade was loose from the get go.
I think that may have been it. They did send me a replacement and it has worked flawlessly since and I do use it quite a bit
Great info ! Can you use any color for the Bucket or why white? Thanks
I'm sure you could use any color, I choose white for two reasons 1. It is REALLY hot where I live so a darker color might get too hot for the bees, and 2. The only food grade buckets I could find were at Walmart in the paint section.
@@ianmburke Makes total sense ...thanks
